Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards Winning Winery: The Brand and History of Longting Vineyard
Longting Vineyard's name is grounded in a deep understanding of Chinese civilization, and embodies the essence of the vineyard's culture – "Long (龍)," meaning dragon, the supreme totem of the Chinese nation, and "Ting (亭) ," meaning pavilion, a resting place in an oriental garden. Having traveled the world, the dragon returns heroically, inviting you to enjoy its beautiful place in peace and contentment.
Bounded by green water and blue waves to the east, and the sea and sky to the north, the winery takes inspiration from a French manor. Altogether, it comprises 68 hectares, including 34 hectares of vineyards nurturing Cabernet Franc, Marselan, Petit Manseng and Chardonnay, with an annual output of 50,000 bottles of wine.

Location & Environment
The vineyard is located in Penglai, Yantai, China's renowned "fairyland on earth," on the north coast of the Shandong Peninsula, one of the world's seven major grape coasts. As a warm temperate, continental monsoon climate zone that is greatly affected by the ocean, the area has no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer, with sufficient sunshine, energy, and moderate rainfall to ensure the "3S" conditions for growing high-quality wine grapes – sunshine, sand and sea. Penglai's natural conditions help the grapes' aroma fully accumulate, making the wine more mellow and natural. It is also one of China's few wine regions with no need to bury soil in winter.

Core Concepts
Longting Vineyard crafts ecological wines with coastal terroir characteristics, based upon four core concepts – a reverence for nature, prime quality, a happy life, and the pursuit of goodness – and the principle of harmony between heaven, earth and man. Since its establishment, the winery has retained a large amount of original forest land, continuously practicing natural farming to maintain the natural grass and reduce carbon emissions.
