about RegionTASTING NOTES
—
Madeleine Stenwreth MW
Sweet fudge and licorice spice, very simple on the fruit, with chocolate and strawberry in a fizzy, odd style. Some farmyard-y notes, and the sweet-and-sour fizziness is disturbing in its overall impression.
—
Christy Canterbury MW
Dense and almost opaque in appearance, this is bold and forward on the nose. Generous on the attack with sweet black plums, ample baking spice and polished wood tones, this shows robust body and generous extract. Nicely fresh fruits swim in abundance across the palate. The oak is discreet with reserved nuances of toast and warmed spices. The sweet and silky palate is elegantly lifted by seamless acidity, giving freshness to the medium finish. Very drinkable and with pleasing, moderate complexity.
—
Meiyu Li
Jammy red and black plums, prunes, mixed with cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, and mocha... A bit too sweet as a wine from Huailai. Unbalanced alcohol and sweetness.
—
Konstantin Baum MW
Ripe plums, cherries, and dusty notes. Sweet oak, with fine-grained tannins and moderate acidity.
