—
Madeleine Stenwreth MW
Dark fruit, dried plums, cassis and blueberry compote. A wine showing complex notes of development with moss and forest undergrowth, tobacco and hints of leather. Finishes with a slight alcoholic warmth and cedary, slightly drying tannins.
—
Tim Tiptree MW
Deep ruby with garnet hints. An evolved nose with a savory character to the fore; leather, cedar and tobacco leaf, with hints of blueberry and plum fruits. A sweet core of generous black fruits, plum and black cherry – a lush and generous style, with fine tannins. The concentration of fruit flavors balances the warming alcoholic finish. Maturing nicely.
—
Dr Jamie Goode
There's a chalky, slightly gravelly edge to the lush blackcurrant and berry fruits. It's showing some nice development, with mellow tannins and an appealing, savory twist to the fruit. Quite stylish and drinking well now.
—
Annette Lacey MW
Garnet hues. Black fruits with vanilla, oak, and tertiary tobacco and gravel. Mid-palate, upfront fruit ripeness and sweetness. A good example of an aged style.
